Promotional signatures are PROHIBITED here IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 1000 REP POINTS. If you have less than 1000 (60 MPH) you cannot have a promotional signature.

This is a new policy. All promo sigs were prohibited before -- now, they are allowed if you have 1000 REP POINTS.

I realize that this policy is detrimental to postings and new members, but valuable in keeping posts of quality, as well as users with a genuine interest in contributing.

What is promotional?

"See how I made $21,000 last week!" as a sig is promotional. It will be deleted.

"12 people needed quickly for great business" as a sig is promotional. It will be deleted.

"Get a FREE website!" is prohibited. It will be deleted.

To advertise overtly you need to be a sponsor.

Your blog link in your signature is acceptable, and encouraged.
A link to your website is acceptable as long as it is not MLM or some recycled Ebook or "Free Report".

I notice that when new members join and violate the promotional signature policy (typically unknowingly and that is understandable) and they are informed, they disappear. Without the promotional value of their signatures, they don't want to contribute. I'd speculate that 1/2 the posts on the "other" forum which shall remain nameless is done primarily for signature pimpage.
