Just figured this out today for those who don't know and need these tidbits.
When writing your webcopy and you need to indicate a trademark or copyright on your intellectual property (such as your brand trade name or your product or service) there are a couple of ways to do each:
Your Company Name™ [to enter that little "TM", press & hold down the ALT key on your keyboard and type the numeric combination "0153", then let go of the ALT key]
Your Company Name Newsletter© [to enter the "C" in the circle, press & hold down the ALT key and type the numeric combination "0169", then let go of the ALT key]
Another way to do this, in Word for example, is to type () parentheses with either "TM" or "C" [without the quotes] inside them and space over.
*Keep in mind, ™ means an unregistered trademark. You need the "R" in a circle to indicate that it is registered.
I don't yet know the ASCII keyboard combos for either the registered trademark or the service mark, but the two above are all most entrepreneurs need to get started.
