How to get rich - Felix Dennis

Reading it now. Highly recommended.

He seems to be thinking just like me so I can't help but like him. I like everyone who thinks like me..hehe.

Just read it and do your own review of his book. I think you will learn a lot. I like writers who are down to earth and who have practical experience. It doesn't hurt that the writers in subjects like wealth and riches are worth a couple of 100's of millions either. And that they didn't make all of their money in self help industries. This guy, after all, made his wealth in publishing of magazines etc.

How to Get Rich by Felix Dennis

I have to agree with you fanocks, this has to be the best business books I have read so far, it is BRUTALLY honest, even scary sometimes, and Felix is a very crazy man but it all works out pretty amazing!
Go out and buy the book, worth every penny, highly recommended!
I'll start a thread about one of the quotes I found in the book, it had me thinking really hard and I'd like to hear what people say!

"Don't bail. The best of the gold is at the bottom of barrels of crap!" - Randy Pausch

Great book. My reaction was the same after reading this book: Man, Denis thinks exactly like me. I even anticipate his words lol.

But....wouldn't you know what he is going to say before he says it?

BTW, did you get my prayer last night, I sent it kind of late?

I saw this book at our local big box book store and I didn't think much of it but now that you fine folks are recommending it I think I'll go pick it up tomorrow.

keep believe in yourself and your prays will fulfill, young man.

PS: God is my name, it has nothing to do with the lord. (Or it has...?!)

Reminds me of that movie "In Too Deep" with LL Cool J, and Omar Epps. LL Cool J is a drug dealer that is known as "God" on the streets. (no offense dude)

I read this a year ago or so and I agree, it's a great book. Definitely in my top 10 "get rich" stuff out there.

A lot of mindset stuff, a lot of practical tips for doing business, and at the same time an essay on money (the good AND the bad side of it, and how much is enough) and a very entertaining bio to boot. The guy had a hell of a life.

Watch some of his interviews on youtube too, very funny and you get a feel of who he is.

In the same vein, I highly recommend "Anyone can do it" by Duncan Bannatyne.

Well I just finished this book after reading it on and off whenever I had a moment and I must say I enjoyed his style... very honest and direct. "If it flies, floats or fornicates rent it!" Lol.

I am currently reading this book right now. I just finished the chapter of harnessing the fear of failure. I must say, this book is AWESOME. As fanocks mentioned, he is down to earth and honest. His advice seems to be spot on, in my opinion. I highly recommend this book... read it!

That's where I'm at so far... I recommend the book as well. Even if you don't want to be rich! His personality, wisdom, and writing make it a great read!

I like how he separated the pros/cons of the young, middle aged, and old in previous chapter.

Quick quote...

"The follow-through, the execution, is a thousand times more important than a “great idea’. In fact, if the execution is perfect, it sometimes barely matters what the idea is.

If you want to get rich, don’t sit around waiting for inspiration to strike. Just get busy getting rich."

I too am reading this book. Very good so far, and I almost didn't bother. It looks like one of those "Get rich quick" books with mostly waffle and no real advice. ++

I think this is probably the first book i've read that tried to unmotivate me before actually getting into the story.
