Maybe I am my own problem? I was thinking along the lines of some sort of service biz would be needed to generate that kind of monthly income (probably gross though).

From that thought alone, it's looking like my thinking may need to change a bit in order for my plan to reflect my intended reality.
Care to shed some light, ye seasoned ebiz'ers? Please. Thank You!

Let me have a swing at these quesions...
1. Maybe I am my own problem? I was thinking along the lines of some sort of service biz would be needed to generate that kind of monthly income (probably gross though).
While services do generally make the most profit of any business known to man due to the fact of the low overhead and the lack of inventory, there is another growing trend. The way that I like to look at blogs/webinars is that people are not looking to get rich off of what they recieve for this site, and they're not trying to know EVERYTHING about EVERYONE in the world. More or less, they are looking for a viable outlet for their current thoughts and or questions. You for instance, are an example. Did you come on this site thinking that it is going to make you rich? Or, did you come on this site to get a wealth of information that could potentially turn your ideas, or ideals, into something feasable and scalable? I hope the latter. People love public outlets, it makes it easier to communicate, while it is still personal communication, its not interpersonal to a point of making someone uncomfortable about their conversations. Its the internet, just delete it
Your mind seems to be on the right track, the key to creating any business is planning properly in advanced and sticking to it. The worst thing that you can do is get into a business and pick up 30 different services because you think it will make you rich, faster. That's not always the case. In my experience its better to centralize and focus your efforts on one goal, expound upon that, then make a move to something else once you've done sufficient homework.
