I advertise and sell a lot of stuff on craigslist and mostly ask who ever buys from me to contact me via email or on my cell phone. I was wondering if it is a good idea for me to create a business card and give it too them when I meet up with them or no? I think it can give my business some expose. Also is it a good idea to mention my business name in the craigslist ad such as " If you are interested please contact (business name) or give a call at this number. Any tips is most appreciated. Thanks!

I think it depends on what you are buying, selling and what your business is, and what the perception would be if you passed out the same business card to people who didn't find you on Craigslist. Lots of variables there. Can you be more specific to the kinds of things you buy and sell?

When I do a Craigslist ad I post preliminary stuff on the listing with a link to my site. I always put the pics and more info on my site. That way I can sell or rent my stuff and increase traffic to my site. Also, I am always trying to find an opportunity to promote my business in other areas, example: My tenants are new to the area, my business lists a lot of good info for people in the area, I give them my card or have the URL stamped on the rental receipts. I'm providing my value to my tenants and helping my business at the same time.

I would definitely figure out methods to optimize your time and exposure to all your customers. Figure out ways to give them more value for the purchase. Good luck.
