IMO, it isn't really getting much better. The stock market is getting better, but with an extra trillion or so dollars floating around, it's got to go somewhere. Unemployment not really improving, housing market not really improving (even though they are advertising it as improving, the housing market always picks up in the summer plus we are selling more houses now because the prices are so depressed), the commercial real estate market is getting worse, corporate earnings aren't really improving and when they are it is mainly due to cost cutting not increase business, corporate revenue is falling, and consumer spending is decreasing.
On a plus side consumer savings is at an all time high. consumers have hibernated with their cash. not necessarily a bad thing though.
don't forget to look down.
