I have to agree on the tuxedo t-shirt. I might even purchase a rare collection of dryer lint and a set of nipple clamps......

Invest it would be an obvious one. No, I think I would live on it. Travel and do stuff and just have fun.

I would buy a few bean bag chairs, take out the stuffing and stuff it with twenties... Then I'd sit on my butt all day. My friends would never know that they were sitting on over 100k...

Half a mil, eh?
I'd get a double cheeseburger with lettuce and tomatoes, and a triple-thick vanilla shake. That's about 6 or 7 bucks. How much do I have left? $499,993.00? Hmm . . . . I guess I'd really have to think about what was important to me. Then, I suppose I'd read a few fastlane success stories for inspiration. Set myself a deadline, make a timetable, then ACT. I probably wouldn't ask this question on a public forum though. ![]() Might get all kinds of crazy responses! ![]() -Russ H.

When we refi'd a few months ago and pulled out a mil, I was kinda tempted to get all of it in cash, for just a few minutes, at the bank. ('tho I'm guessing that they don't just keep that stuff lying around). Still, it would have been fun. ![]() -Russ H.

And no, not the Elliot Spitzer kind of "escort". I meant it more in the sense of a bodyguard... |

Just put us in a secure room, leave us alone w/it, and let us look at it. Would we have rolled around in it? Don't know. I hate messes. But cleaning up a million dollars off the floor might have been different. I just don't know. :shrugs: -Russ H.

$500,000 at 5% interest is $25,000 a year in pure passive income ... 10% ... $50K/year.
This sum of money is a great starting point for exiting the rat race forever ... or, invest in other Fastlane high return ventures. |
