I'm looking to add 1-2 employees for an internet business, so they don't necessarily have to be based near me. Where is the best place to look? How can I do this most efficiently, and find high quality candidates to interview?

I use a firm called Manpower most of the time. There is another online firm called Business Investor | Interim Management | Executive Recruitment | CEO Europe for executive recruiting.

What types of jobs are you looking employees for? What type of tasks? There are many alternatives for jobs that are not too advanced. You could hire college students to work part-time, for example. Or Virtual Assistants. I think it all depends on the type of tasks you are looking at, and the volume of work.

Bill, I always have talented students looking for extra income. 99% of them are honest, hard working people (I'll tell you about the flakes ha ha).

I could ask around if you had some job descriptions?

Temp agencies are just great. If they do not work out you just call them and get someone else! You don't have to worry about HR stuff too much either.

Looking for a range of stuff, from people helping run day to day operations all the way to assistants possibly.

JScott,

I can't tell if you are leveling me or not.

The people I've tried to hire before from craigslist(just for random housecleaning, yardwork type jobs) have been least reliable people ever for me.

A few days ago I put up a post on there for random job with my business and with her application some girl sent me a picture of herself in bed.

I didn't think of that, good idea. I'll try calling a few.
