Fastlane to Millions Reality Apprentice Wanted!!!!

This whole idea sounds awesome, but I think it'd take time. Maybe, during all of the preparation time, things like financing could get taken care of so that once everything is good to go, funding will be out of the way. Then, we can just get right into the action...

Another little idea:

I don't know how this is going to work as far as what kind of business everybody is going to work on, but maybe there could be some little challenges amidst the main project, such as a charity project or something for a non-profit? If this all goes well, it'd provide a great story for the press, and we could really, really get the ball rollin' here in terms of some exponential growth!

Yankees ...Great questions ..I will welcome senior members who will help me decide on the initial group of 15 ....we haven’t detailed the Final structure yet...

As far as Financing goes that will be concluded by the last 4 individuals picked including myself of course with ideas from anyone on the forum, but also still to be detailed.

The last 4 will be collaboratively working on a single e-business project that fall under the fastlane objectives …

We will be working together as a group over the phone conference, online, online conference, through email, and possibly any other interaction that we see is fit as we go along.

What is the Reward you ask? Here are a few!

-It will be your business as one of the four final shareholders.
-A major learning experience for the four participants to create a successful business even if you already have an online business or typical B&M business
-Goal is for it to be successful hopefully profitable E-business witch can hopefully turn into something bigger or be sold later for a hefty price tag....
-You will have the chance to participate in something that has yet I believe not been done before. And will be broadcast on this forum every step of the way for everyone to see …reality internet!

Why are we all on this Forum? To learn to, get new ideas, to find new ventures, to make more money well this is a collaboration to achieve all those things if it’s done right ‘….

great idea. I thought of something along these lines, but not in a contest format...

I want to start a couple of new businesses and finding people who have a certain randomness if you will, or even a strong entreprenuerial desire are far and few in between...

also, the biz I have in mind require little money but require a good amount of initial effort amounting to 10 hours per week.

Bull- My main concern regarding your idea is how the finalists/contestants/participants will benefit/compensated if one or several ideas become successful...

I am interested in knowing more, but my time constraints is probably my biggest weakness

Very interesting idea, Bull. Not only would this give everyone the opportunity to learn, it would also be a great addition to the forum. If it works out, maybe we can keep doing it in the future.

I have a few questions though.

It is my understanding that it will start out with 15 participants and in order to eliminate the group down to four, are you going to give everyone similar projects or assignments from the start so that you can eliminate them based on performance? Or how else would you decide on the final four?

Also, what criteria will you be using to pick out the initial 15 people? Would you prefer someone who has past business experience over someone who does not? How do you make it fair so that you will also give someone who doesn't have prior business experience a chance to showcase his or her entrepreneurship spirit and the potential to become a true entrepreneur?

Update...We now have about 7 people who I have added to my start up list so far ....I Congratulate all of you that have opted in so far and I will keep you updated as to whats next. I would like to see some developers jump on board or anyone with marketing back ground etc …

To answer someone’s question on commitment of time …Yes this will be part of the criteria you will need to commit a certain block of time from your weekly schedule to participate in this …People any business takes time , this is by no means a walk in the park or a free ride for anyone , this will be like any new venture if you want it to succeed you will have to invest your time , we have not yet detailed the minimal time you will be required to commit to as of yet .

Randallg99…my post just above yours answers your question regarding final benefit/compensation on the last paragraph at least the very basic benefits we are looking for people with great creative minds for business.

The internetmillionare is a very similar idea except ours is done on this forum for forum members by forum members.

what kind of entity is this (as shareholders?) LLC, SUb-S, C?
are contracts going to be prepared?

Yes you are correct there will 5 owners (4 finalists plus myself?)
This will be a legal corp with contracts for shareholders not sure on the entity as of yet...

When I post some of the criteria ,Time requirements will be posted as well as part of initial criteria.
The time will be shared among final 4 plus myself, when business is launched.

I have came up with some general basic criteria for some of the initial 15 candidates ( Apprentices) to be on the list for the next Fastlane forum millionaires.

Some of you that have opted into the list already will not be except to this criterion!

I want everyone to know that if you are chosen to be in the last 4 witch will go one to a hopefully very successful venture...There is no free ride for anyone and you will all need to be commited to this project and pull your own weight you must be reliable dependable and treat this like any job or business your running..This will be the real deal so anyone participating will need to fully understand the commitments and seriousness of this venture, I am sure some of the experienced members already understand this.

Criteria will be and this is not written in stone but the basics for the first 15 you must fall into a couple criteria below this should be fair and cover most on this forum.

1-Time Commitment and Reliability of Aprentice...You will be required to spend at least 2 hours per week as the initial 15 if you get picked for the last 4 your commitment could go up to 2-8 hours per week.

2-Entrepenerial premise, mindset,Fastlane thinker,-So you must either had previous or current experience with some type of business venture whether it failed or succeed doesn’t matter.

3-Skill Set-If you’re coming to the table as a web developer, Internet marketing expert etc.

4-Great Ideas-If you have not yet had any previous or current business experience but have great ideas for an e-business but need a great group to work with and develop your great idea .There are a lot of really talented minds out there with great ideas I have seen a few on here already so those people please jump on board.

5-Financial Commitment-You must be able to commit financially to a minimal of $1,000-2,000 to show that you are serious about doing this. This venture might go with OPM or venture capital the future will tell or might just be your small commitment. We will be creating a business that could possibly turn into a net value of a couple million to 10 million so please look at it this way. The Fastlane principles is creating a business that will be worth a much higher net worth and can be sold later for a hefty price tag.

With the TV Apprentice, the appeal is to get to work with Trump.

My apologies if I should know this, and you do come across as easily able to handle the project, but what makes you a guy that I'd want to learn from or be involved with in this type of serious endeavor?

Well I'm a late comer to this party, but I think this sounds like a great idea and I can see some great scope there. You could look at Y!Combinator they specialize in this sort of thing for TechBusiness - think apprentice meets Idol ... meets Dragons Den

Do you want us to outline who we are? Eg: 14 years web experience, 7+ years business knowledge, ran 1 personal business that grew to $2 mill then failed (without the $2 mil), ran 2 other businesses for someone else, now Prod.Dev Manager for NZ's fastest growing web business ... or you want that stuff later?

JonLeehacker...your correct the TV show Apprentice, people get the opportunity to work with Trump ....You are looking at this the wrong way and in a none Fastlane mentality its not what someone can do for you!! its what you can do to succeed .....You will not be just learning from me ...You would be participating in a venture that would benefit yourself with your contribution working with others and me as the project leader.

This is by no means a spot on copy of the TV show this is a twist of that show on this forum with few similarities

I understand MJ's premise very well, and with all respect it is very much a fast lane principle to get to know who my partners are before jumping into a long term commitment.

It's not at all about what I can get, I am here to contribute and learn. It's about whether or not you are trustworthy of my time and devotion to the project. Especially if you are placing yourself in the position of project leader...well I just want to know that you know how to steer the ship, when the winds get high.

If MJ was the 'project leader' then I would not have need for these types of questions, since I am aware of his track record.

So what's your story, why should I trust that you can get us across the ocean?

To answer your question , I will not be getting anyone across the the ocean,like i said in a previous post this is not a free ride by any means, as a group you will be getting your selfs across the ocean as a colaboration..with myself...

My Back ground has been with several on-line very successful ventures and this is just another idea and another venture that I will be undertaking with willing participants .

I am not trying to sell anybody this idea I am looking for Go getters people that are looking to get into a new on-line successful venture
simple as that I have just turned into a creative way for other members of this forum to trace and see this venture start up from A-Z

To clarify Jonleehacker's point, here's what I believe he's getting at...

Everyone else (besides you) who wants to be part of the team will have to "prove their value" in order to be selected as part of the team.

On the other hand, because you organized this, you are automatically part of the team, and therefore you don't have to prove your value in the same way.

So, if you don't need to prove yourself in the same way as the rest of the team, why should any of the other members of the team trust that you have the skills and experience to be part of the team?

All Jonleehacker was asking was for some more information about what you've done and in what ways you've been successful? What companies have you worked for, owned, or led, and in what capacity?

We now have 10 people on board ,5 more spots left .......!

As soon as we hit the 15 (Apprentices to millions) we will start to organize the elimination round decided among the 15 members.

we have some pretty good candidates so far .....Its great to see these go-getters that already made the first step...

One of the keys to success is not to procrastinate ...in other words stop talking about it and do it.

I look forward to this. I would like to know some more details about how everything will work, the process of elimination, how often will elimination's be, ect. I guess you are still working out the details. Just my two cents, before officially selecting the final 15...I would like to see all of the game rules (details) laid out. Also, will everything be put on the forums or will these project have a website for itself?
