Hello everyone,

I've been lurking here daily since I found the place via the RK forums early last week. I have to say, you've done a very nice job here so far Michael. It's very difficult to find a good mix of successful, motivated, up-and-coming, and experienced individuals like the group here at FTM. Although I was already in the process of renewing my entrepreneurial fire when I found this place, FTM definitely has helped speed the process, and I'm 100% sure that I'm going to be back here in a year or two thanking certain individuals for their stories and experiences that helped me to refocus and achieve my goals.

I consider myself a veteran when it comes to Internet business/marketing, and although I haven't filed a big success under my belt yet, I hope to contribute to the discussion here and hopefully make a difference as well.

I'll start by posting my "failure story" right now. Off to find the proper place to do so.

-Taylor

That's the new 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R. And it's my first car oriented goal

I don't know if you're familiar with the car's history... It's ancestors were only produced and street-legal in Japan, and available for around $35,000.. pretty good for one of the best performing all-wheel drive twin-turbo super cars in history.

NOW Nissan is finally bringing the GT-R to the United States in 2009 for around $80,000, but there will only be 1,000 made per year, so it'll cost you closer to $100,000 and a lot of luck to get one.

They used the Porche 911 Turbo as their target performance car to build this version, and they ended up besting it. This new Skyline beat the 911's lap-time over in Germany (that famous race track) which I believe was the world record.

Anyway, it's an absolutely wicked car for the money. Crazy technology and performance for $150,000 less than it should be.

Probably overkill on answering your question, sorry to ramble on...

Welcome and congrats on your first "car-oriented" goal! Being a car-nut myself, I have several Id like to attain over the years. My dream however is a black Lamborghini.

Best of luck and welcome to the forum!

Welcome aboard.

The new Skyline is very nice. I have a '94 GTR myself that is Bayside Blue. Very fun cars, and very cheap to make fast. I believe that we made over 700+rwhp for about $5K and 2 weeks.

Best of luck with you goals.

Best,

Sweet...that was what I was gonna guess, but it looked more exotic in your avatar than I'd remembered it looking in the mags that I read about it in. Nissans/Infinitis always seem to have a lot of power for the money. I really like the G37 a lot and might look into getting one of those once I reach a point where I feel I'm successful enough to take one on.

Once again, welcome!
