It was slated to be a "brave new world of comedy." In January 2007, Turner Broadcasting System frothily launched Super Deluxe, a short-form video site with original content by the "funniest peeps in the comedy biz" (read: up-and-comers) such as Eugene Mirman and Brad Neely. Content wouldn't be limited to the Web; Super Deluxe would serve as a cheap testing ground for potential television and film projects, and videos could be distributed to content-hungry cell phones.
