Truly heartwarming stuff -- You gotta love that little girl's reaction when her Dad shows up....

On another note, we've had something like 3 or 4 murders this year in Colorado Springs when Ft. Carson soldiers have returned home form the war to catch their wives cheating on them. They kill either the wife, the guy, or sometimes both. It kinda puts a damper on stories like this one though. --

It certainly bothers me that whenever we have a major troop deployment here the downtown bars all of the suddenly fill up with "single" ladies. I guess the good old days when women like my Grandmother and Mom waited years for their soldier to come home are coming to an end.

So much for heart warming stories.

Russ, thanks for the thread idea. We can all use some practice at focusing on the positive.

I think the little girl thought she was getting punked ... it took a few seconds for it to register that "OMG, that's my daddy!" ... perhaps we should make a "Feel Good" thread that lasts into eternity, like the "Jokes" thread.

Hak, could you please delete your post, or move it to another thread?

Normally I wouldn't ask for this, but it really kills the momentum of a "feel good" thread.

Hoping you understand,

My feel good post is not a story, rather a song.

"The Way I Are" with Timbaland.

The text may not apply to us (most of us have money), but the song is rather nice. Makes me feel good every time I hear it. It has a nice night club feel about it. It gives me good positive push. Music can really change your mood in a heart beat. For the better or for the worse.

Anyone listened this song? What do you think?

I hope this one qualifies

PS: If it does not qualify then we can move it to another thread, maybe something called "Good moods"

Not exactly the best presentation...could have been more "feel good," but does this qualify?

That 73 year old playing basketball just gave me another 49 years to play that game! I was starting to think - when will I have to stop playing the sport I truly love. Turns out, never!!!!!

Almost forgot, Jim Carrey. He always makes me laugh and feel good. He is a real comedian...hehe. Look at this tribute to Meryl Streep.
