As the title says most of you probably have them already, others maybe are still waiting for theirs, what is your dream car, or cars, and do you use them like you thought you would when you got them? -CarpetJocky.

Already have my dream car, see avatar. Been dreaming about it for years. Affordable, fast, and fun. Best bang for the buck out there in my opinion. Can't see ever being able to afford the garage to park a Lambo in much less the Lambo.

My dream car may not seem all that cool to some of you, but when I take into consideration some of the ideologies from Russ's The Plan thread, I found that this is what I REALLY want:

2009 Toyota Sequoia: (sorry I don't know how to make the picture smaller)

Why is it my dream car? Because it meets my needs as a family guy - it's functional, it can tow my dream boat out to the lake, it looks cool (to me), it's safe for my family (lots of airbags), it has enough electronic gizmos for me (navigation, bluetooth, & backup camera), and it has plenty of room for us to go on a road trip with all of our stuff in the back. I could go on and on, I love it.

鉄OMETHING IS NOT TRULY LEARNED UNLESS ACTED UPON.

I am really curious about the second part of CarpetJocky's question. For those of you who do own your dream cars (especially very expensive exotics) how do you drive them? In my head, if I drove an exotic, I would drive the crap out of it. Do you drive them like you thought you would before you owned them? Or has the process of acquiring them changed the way you use them now?

Thanks
topic by the way :-)

Nobody has an idea of insurance for a lambo?

I would definately like to own an lp 640 in gray or whatever color is close to the gray I have seen them in , but My dream car is one that would have to look like a Z-tune R34-GTR skyline. Ive never drove a rhd car so It would be unique in my opionion.

You could drive the crap out of it, but most likely you would kill yourself first. Every once in a while you could punch it up to 130 on an empty road, but chances are you won't be able to see what they really can do until you hit the track with them. And believe once you do that, you won't drive them very fast on the roads.

I remember I used to read stories of young rich guys totalling their new P, Fs and Lambos a week after they get them. Obviously, one of the main reasons is due to horsepower, but I think another big reason is because you become rich and buy a mid engine or rear engine car without understanding it. Now the weight shifts to the center/rear and you got massive trailing throttle oversteer as compared to a front engine car. Now the backend is heavy and when it kicks out, you should floor it instead of slow down.

Find someone who tracks their exotic car and get them to take you a few laps in it. They corner like they are on rails, the big brakes will snap you head and they accelerate like mad. It's very tough to drive them to their limits even on a track.

Depends on your driving record. I believe mine is 1800/year.

I drive it to the gym and the store. Errands. Rarely to clubs and "nights out" -- the attention gets old as do the retards trying to race their Civic SIs.

Well said biophase, the bank account to buy one does not equal driving skill.

I enjoy driving cars and whatever I buy will be driven very hard, thats what their built for. I take very good care of all my stuff but I'm not above taking a $100k Mercedes down a dirt road to go fishing.

I like to many different types to narrow it down to one. Lets see I'm a big Mercedes fan, and a 300SL Gullwing would be rather nice, but I'd have to say if money was no object I'd get a 540K, with a blown straight 8. Pre war Mercedes super charging was fairly interesting, it was treated like a passing gear and would kick on all at once.

I'd also like to own a Ferrari at least once, I think it would be fun to roast the reat tires off and track it. I'd love an F40 I think thats one of the best super cars ever made. But what I really want is a 560SEC 6.0 Widebody AMG Hammer.

AMG Sクラス 560SEC 6.0ブリスター(M117)ディーラー車 中古車情報株式会社 ガレージカレントhttp://www.garagecurrent.com

Surprisingly some of the best older Mercedes are coming out of Japan. I might buy my next W126 from an importer who gets them from Japan and ships them to the US through Canada.
